I'm quite happy with my Oppo PM3s, which have the work-friendly benefit of being closed-back as well.

I generally (much) prefer open-back headphones (..getting some of that natural cross-feed for a more expansive soundstage).

These $299 headphones look a lot like some of the more expensive Audeze models.  I wish though that they hadn't continued with the plether/leather-look and instead used an open-cell foam with a velvet cloth (..for the ear-cups, the headband is OK).  I think it's likely though that someone will start offering a replacement for precisely that desire.

..and despite all that it still doesn't look as well built as your Oppo.

Open back headphones are my go to headphones. I work in a preferably quite cabin setup, so the open-air design would not be a problem for you. I have Sennheiser HD 700.

ATH-AD700X would not disappoint you at the $100 range.

With the PM-3, you can undoubtedly reproduce the experience of tuning into a pair of lead earphones on a leader intensifier or an astounding 2-direct speaker framework in an excellent listening room, yet in a convenient shape consider that can be taken anyplace.
