I've found a couple, but they all seem to have longevity issues on the subwoofer side.

Forget everything about "PC-speakers" and sets using a subwoofer since it is very hard / almost impossible to get good sound quality in such a system. Even with 4" bass drivers, you can get pretty decent bass performance, so unless you expect to use them for drum&bass parties they should cover you well.
