Expanding into one folder

Tue Jan 26, 2010 10:07 am

I have used Mediamonkey many times to organize my music into folders of artists and then by albums to clean up my music. What has ended up happening though is I now have a ton of folders that are left in My Music that have no music in them, although they typically contain metadata or thumbs that won't let it be deleted with a simple batch file to delete all the empty folders. My plan of action was to extract all my music into one huge folder, and then use Mediamonkey to organize the music into folders again.

Any ideas how to extract all this music into one folder (most is mp3, but some is wma or ACC) or does anybody have another suggestion?

Thanks for the help. (btw I have a basic understanding of the cmd line interface and am not afraid to use it)
To Start Press Any Key'. Where's the ANY key?
If something's hard to do, then it's not worth doing
You know, boys, a nuclear reactor is a lot like a woman. You just have to read the manual and press the right buttons.
