Intel Q1 2017 Earnings Released

Thu Apr 27, 2017 3:35 pm

https://s21.q4cdn.com/600692695/files/d ... _Final.pdf

14.8 Billion in revenue (seems to be inline with expectations)
3.6 Billion in profits (also inline with expectations)

The client computing group... which includes desktop & mobile CPU sales... saw a 6% year-on-year increase in revenue too.

More importantly: Intel is increasing its revenue and EPS projections for 2017.
4770K @ 4.7 GHz; 32GB DDR3-2133; Officially RX-560... that's right AMD you shills!; 512GB 840 Pro (2x); Fractal Define XL-R2; NZXT Kraken-X60

Won't speak regarding revenue, but as Intel subsidies from mobile should be vanishing that helps.

And winding down those operations. Before contra revenue for mobile, and before mobile was merged into consumer, it was losing 1-billion+ a quarter.

Also ASPs have been climbing for years. But Zen would stall that if anything. I would think. Maybe not(!!)

That tends to happen when a company is trying to buy a foot in the door into a new market that it missed out on. Intel gave up throwing money at the closed door awhile ago, the consumer group's earnings look in line with previous reports.

Interesting to note Intel lost $129 million on it's Optane ventures "Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group", but I'm sure that's going to reverse by next quarter. It it didn't that would mean Optane was not well received in the enterprise market.
