Also, two 1920x1080 monitors spanned is only twice the pixel count, not four times.
Yeah. Somewhat. We are both slightly in error. Im not going to change the topic because I was torn between the fact that I would only consider two monitors for my desktop not four so when I posted the topic I focused on what I was considering even though I was also wondering if a graphics card would see a difference if it were processing video to one uhd monitor or the individual equavalent's. Wish I went the other way but be sure if I get some site to test it, it will be total pixel count: 1 vs equavalent.
As far as the two monitors, I posted that fact later. I knew the facts, I just titled it according to what I would do. Thanks for your catch. It wasnt a mathematical error, it was more losing focus when I posted. I know the difference. So I was confused as to what you were refering to - not realizing that I transposed the 4 and 2.
BTW four 1920 x 1080 spanned presents 7,680 x 1080 to a card. Only the width is added, the vertical is still 1080 pixels. If you put four monitors in a 2x2 arrangement then it would be 3840 x 2160. I dont think that I would do something like that. But of course I now would like to know the performance hit on four monitors spanned 1 x 4.
Gotta thank you I guess, and glad that the others, and you, saw the main issue.
(Edit: transposed "i" with the letter "s" )
