AMD: Tuesday, Oct. 24. Word on the Street: Expecting EPS of $0.06 (yay profits!). I'd almost expect them to top that without too much trouble based on all their product launches in Q3.

Intel: Thursday, Oct. 26. Word on the Street: Expecting EPS $0.80 (Krogothed)

Microsoft: Also Thursday, Oct. 26 (Microsoft calls this "FY Q1 2018" BTW so don't be confused). Word on the Street: EPS $0.72.

Other upcoming announcements:
Nvidia announces sometime in early to mid November.
Apple has a funky quarterly schedule and its quarter doesn't end until October finishes.

TL;DR version: $71 Million in GAAP Net-income so they got an actual profit this time around.

Pretty much in-line with expectations on the street so not unexpectedly high or low.

Incidentally, in more detail, the profit was practically all from Ryzen + Coin-mining craze demand. The "Enterprise & Embedded" unit that sells console chips and (more importantly) the Epyc server parts was basically flat from last year:

"Enterprise, Embedded and Semi-Custom segment revenue was $824 million, approximately flat year-over-year primarily driven by lower semi-custom SoC sales, mostly offset by IP related and EPYCTM processor revenue."

Not a big surprise with EPYC. Server & enterprise is not a market they can regain a foothold in overnight. Will take time to show it's stable, pass qualification testing, and for upgrade cycles to roll around. AMD will probably have next generation EPYC parts out before it starts to gain traction.

~$300M more revenue and $71M profit In a quarter where NV and Intel did practically nothing and riding on the mining craze is pretty weak IMO.

TL;DR: $4.5 Billion in GAAP Net-profits and $0.94 EPS (which comfortably beat the expectations of $0.80)

Additionally, there are positive forward-looking expectations too.

Record operating income and record earnings per share (EPS), driven by strong data-centric growth,
expanding operating margins and gains on the sale of equity investments.
• Raised full-year business outlook for the third consecutive quarter. Full-year revenue outlook raised by $700
million to $62 billion; full-year GAAP EPS outlook raised by $0.27 to $2.93 and non-GAAP EPS by $0.25 to
$3.25.
