If you can afford it, the 8700K is what you should be buying in the i7 range these days - 6 cores instead of 4, but you'll need a Z370 motherboard too. Cryorig H7 or any of the 120mm coolermaster air coolers should be fine for a mild overclock, otherwise get the AIO with the largest radiator that will fit in your case for more extreme overclocking.

The sweet spot for RAM speed with Coffee Lake processors seems to be 2666MHz DDR4 with C14 timings, or 3000MHz with C16 timings.

Look at 80+ Gold or better PSUs that are on offer locally against JonnyGuru's review of them. It's just about the only site left that does proper PSU reviews these days. It doesn't honestly matter what supply you buy as long as it's well-made and provides suitable wattage - I would probably suggest 550-650W for this system, since that will be operating at peak efficiency of around 50% load when both the 8700K and GTX1070 are running at load together.

Finally, you want either a high-value SSD - of which the MX300 is probably the best option, or you want a high performance NVMe drive, like the 960EVO which comes in M.2 form factor. Don't buy an 850 pro anymore, because it's obsolete; It was the best-performing consumer SSD until PCI-Express drives (M.2 NVMe) came along, and these are MUCH faster than the old 850 pro which is completely hindered by it's cheap and simple SATA connection.

I will use this build for using Photoshop/ illustrator on 4k... I know it overkill build for Photoshop/ illustrator ... but I am thinking about the future ... Yes... I know that 8th generation is better... but really there's no point for more that 4 core for Photoshop/ illustrator ... the most important thing is the speed of single core :)

Can you explain why you need 2 PCs when you're the same thing on both except different resolution monitor?

BTW, the i5-8600K has 6 full cores for $280 and will boost up to 4.3GHz if you don't want to spend all the way up to an i7-8700K.

Again on this build, what are you needing (feature-wise) in a $200 mobo? It looks like Asus is your brand preference?

If you're on a budget and want to get the fastest single core, the 7700K might still be a reasonable option, but the i3-8350K ought to be about as fast and a good $100 cheaper (it's a quad-core without HT, but it's the same silicon as the 8700K so it ought to clock to the same 4.7GHz without requiring any voltage bumps)

Personally, I think that paying top dollar for an "old" quad-core like the 7700K is silly when AMD's Ryzen 7 1700X is providing 16 threads at reasonably competitive speeds for similar money, and Intel has definitely moved quad core into the low-cost part of its product stack. The advantage of more cores really comes in handy if you work with video encoding of any type, or software rendering.

That why I am so confused... we don't know How Adobe goes ... so far, it still support the old generations ( dual cores or quad cores), I talking here about Photoshop/ illustrator/ Lightroom.. Maybe it is going to change its mind... we don't know... so I prefer to wait :)

Do you prefer Intel? For budget reasons and since you are not gaming on this pc, might I second the suggestion for AMD Ryzen 7?
Why do you think Photoshop/Illustrator doesn't use multi core and that for editing with photoshop/illustrator single core speed is the most important aspect? Might I suggest some kind of Pentium? G3258 perhaps? and some kind of professional video card and not a gaming card? Like Nvidia Quadro?

All great suggestions above.

If you're going with the MX300 SSD, then get the M.2 version. It saves space and makes the build a little cleaner.

Highly recommend the Cryorig H7 cooler.

He didn't say that it would. He said it would "save space and make the build cleaner". Which is true. They're about the same price, so why not?

I changed my mind yesterday... I have new thought about my builds .... you made me rethinking about i7 8700k .... yes, it would be so stupid to spend a lot of money on 7th generations... thank you so much for that :)
