it fits behind the radiator. my son took it for a spin and put a hole in it. i have the radiator just need to know what that other one that looks like a radiator.

Intercooler

Air conditioning condenser or transmission/oil cooler are possibilities. Intercoolers are generally placed in front of the radiator in any sane setup.

Summarily, in order from front grill opening to the engine:

- Intercooler (on some turbo or supercharged engines). Around half to two-thirds the size of the radiator and a lot thicker, with large-diameter tubing attachments. If it gets a hole, it leaks either nothing or water, and it will suck things in while the engine is running. The ECU may reduce power due to irregular sensor readings.

- Radiator (all cars with a conventional engine). Seeps, drips, or sprays coolant in any variation of green, pink, or orange when damaged.

- Air Conditioning condenser (nearly all modern cars). Leaks mostly-invisible AC refrigerant when damaged. About the same dimensions as the radiator, but thinner. May see traces of oily residue around the damage point. Will definitely notice the lack of cold air. Special refrigeration service tools required to repair.

- Oil or transmission cooler (usually on performance engines and some trucks/SUVs). Typically much smaller than any of the others. Leaks plenty of oil when damaged.

I know nobody else here would enjoy it, but I would love random car part reviews with the same rigor applied as the normal Tech Report reviews. It's shockingly rare in the car industry as well.

I'd be down for it, and I know some one Jeff could try to recruit to do review videos. There is a youtuber with a channel called Project Farm that already has a nice selection of entertaining yet consistent testing methods.
