From the "WTF were they thinking?" files...

Saw the title on the Micro Center e-mail sales flyer and thought it was two separate products.

That could be a fun way to hide a rear surround speaker in your home theater setup. Probably sounds like junk, though.
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.

if the range is long enough I though that these were a good idea for adding music to another room.
I did find the one demo I saw in store a little tinny.

I can see it being useful for stuff like doctor/dentist's office waiting areas, gas stations, or other small retail. Hard to come up with a reason you'd want it for home/residential though.

Yeah, same here... they sound like they'd be okay if your only goal is to get some background music into a room, but don't expect much in terms of quality.

I know what these are for. For ambient music during love-making, especially with the bulb dimmed down to create a more "romantic" atmosphere :D

I recommend Kenny G.

I was definitely thinking that these were "atmosphere" bulbs, but I was thinking they'd be perfect for creepy/Halloween uses...
On second thought, let's not go to TechReport. Tis a silly place.

They fall in the same bucket to me as garage door opener with Bluetooth speaker or a bathroom exhaust fan with Bluetooth speaker. Or shower head with Bluetooth speaker. Heck, we picked up some shoes for my son at Walmart with Bluetooth speakers. These are actually kinda useful because he listens to a lot of audiobooks while playing out back.

Would be kind of cool if it supported AirPlay 2 with all its multi-unit synchronization features (so you could outfit an entire room with them), but then I'd bet it wouldn't cost 20 bux.

"Speakers", and wireless ones in particular, have another basic function these days: to tell Google what you speak. What about this one?

These little guys have been floating around the home improvement stores for at least a year and a half. Presumably they're the same kind of unsecured audio device as any other cheap BT receiver, which ought to be good for epic neighbor-pranking in multiple-unit dwellings.
