Bad Pool Caller

Mon Jul 29, 2019 12:15 pm

Added M.2 to my Precision 7510, moved OS to it. Disconnected Intel card in Bios, using only M2000M. Decided to do a clean Windows 10 Pro to get rid of residue of installed software . Success. Updated video drivers and all what Dell recommends to do.
Now I am getting blue screen and "bad Poll Caller" error. Call Dell, spend hours with them, at the end reinstalled Windows again. .
Same result...that error.
Any advice?
Thanks

Are you installing all the drivers at once? could you install them one by one to isolate the culprit? Or are you sure it's the video drivers for sure?

Have you tred physically removing and reinstalling your RAM, and your M.2 drive? Could have a slightly dodgy edge contact.

Everything was working perfect before I reinstall Win for the first time. I am not sure what driver cause that, I am just referring to some post that I see on that issue.

Maybe run WhoCrashed? It showed me that my video card driver was causing the blue screens last year.

WhoCrashed distributed some PUP with it a while back, they may have rectified it.

I recommend BlueScreenView from https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html.

BAD POOL CALLER is almost always a buggy driver IIRC.
