I don't spend too much time on the forums but have lurked for about a decade. Hi!
Problem: I have two 650 Ti Boost cards which are not activating in SLI mode. More details below.
I'm hoping that someone has ran into a similar issue that I am dealing with right now. I purchased a second 650 Ti Boost 2GB to pair with my 650 Ti Boost 1GB (I know not optimal, but I run most games @ 720 with all candy cranked as I sit 8-9FT away from my TV) and have not been able to get the NVidia control panel to show the SLI options in the "Configure Surround, PhysX" menu.
I've done the normal stuff:
* Checked SLI bridge (make sure it's seated on each card)
* Switch to different SLI bridge (I have a "floppy" kind and a "PCB" kind... both don't seem to do the trick)
* Swapped cards between slots (MB is PCIe 16x, 16x4, 16x8 from top to bottom and I realize that SLI requires 16x and 8x so the 4x is out of the question)
* Uninstall/Re-install drivers (All the way up to beta 334.67)
* Unplugged absolutely everything except for the Video Cards, USB for wireless KB/mouse combo, and boot hard drive to rule out some other device causing a conflict (this includes all internal headers).
* Loaded BIOS defaults
* Reinstalled OS (Windows 8.1)
* Prayed it would just work itself out and ignored the damn thing for a week.
...needless to say still not getting SLI options in the Nvidia control panel. http://imgur.com/HQdET1P
Quick specs:
Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3 Rev 1.3 BIOS U1C (Latest UEFI release)
i5-2300 with i5-2500K cooler (I've also tried an i3 and Pentium G3xxx just to make extra sure it was not some sort of crazy bad CPU thing)
Video cards as mentioned.
Boot drive is SSD Kingston V300
Antec TruePower Blue 750
The other odds and ends, BluRay drive, other HD for DVR, Xonar U3, etc.
