So I' m packing to move and came across some favorite CD's I've been looking for so I popped them into my player and started ripping them. About a dozen or so later I put in one and a heard loud popping sound, looked down to see smoke coming out of the front of my computer! Crap! In a panic I pulled the plug out from the wall. I sat there wondering how I was gonna get the money to replace what had blown... Then I realized what happened. One paper clip confirmed it... The CD I just put must not have been seated and when the player spun up the CD exploded. I can't get all the pieces out of the unit so I guess I'll have to get a new on. The dang thing ain't that old! Oh well.
