What's the power cost on all those rigs? $50?

Either way, you are paying for a 1080ti per month like that. Did you get all the cards just for mining? Or did you already have them for some other reason?

I had 1, and bought 4 of them, a pcie ribbon, a HX1000i (using about 860 watts for the 3 card rig). Had all the other parts. I used bitcoins to buy it all, I used to mine 2-3 years ago with 2x bitcrane 1.1th miners and had a few coins built up. Newegg has been my go-to place to spend coins.

My plan is to buy some Volta or vega based cards with my bitcoin income and eBay the 1080TIs and pocket the cash.

That seems pretty high. Are power costs high for you?

$0.10 / kWh (really closer to 9c).

About 1500watts.

That's right, I forgot that NewEgg takes BitCoins.

Pure genius for them, people can use BC to buy gear to mine BC, which they use to buy more gear to mine BC...

Obviously, they are only willing to let you have one at the "reduced" price, and the rest are "regular price." Still funny though.

Seems pretty clear it is a variation on "limit 1 per customer", but with a soft limit rather than a hard one.

You should see this in-store. Last time I was there the second card was double the price of the first and a third card was $20,000 or something similarly obscene. I was building a system of my mother-in-law and she asked if those prices are accurate which I responded yes and that's why I was loaning her an old GTX 970 until graphics card prices settled down.
