Newegg was letting the watercooled MSI 1080Ti
go for US$709 (of US$799) out the door yesterday; it's a lot of money, but given the sustained performance and my output set to 1440p165, I went ahead and splurged.
Hopefully the Vegas will start seeing similar sales, if not downward price adjustments!
PG279Q? I'm sort of regretting going for 2440x1440x100Hz instead of 2560x1440x165Hz with ULMB. ULMB is amazing, but the PG279Q that I tried had just awful BLB. I wasn't willing to play return roulette for a good monitor, so I nabbed an X34, instead. You'll love the 1080Ti; these cards scream.
Acer XB271HU, actually, but same idea!
And I love that that card- the 1080Ti water-cooled which essentially represents the GPU 'ceiling'- is coming down in price, which means that basically everything should start adjusting down.
