The big seller for me on adaptive sync and it's worth was a reviewer (WFCCTech surprisingly) who got another Nixeus higher refresh monitor. He noted that it was such a huge difference in even day to day tasks or OS functions that if given the option to only choose between giving up his high refresh rate monitor or giving up his SSD to go back to mechanical, he would have to seriously think about it. It made that large of a difference to him even on things like web surfing apparently, and he had nice LG IPS displays before, just not high refresh rate.
I'm running at 165Hz on my main desktop, and I love it- but my other three displays are all 60Hz.
It's noticeable, but not a necessity, on desktop apps.
But for gaming? Whoa.
