Radeon rx 580 with multiple monitors what adapters do I need?

Hi guys,

I can't find some info I'm looking for.

I am interested in getting this card: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product. ... 6814131720

I have one hdmi monitor and 2 dvi monitors.

My current radeon 7870 requires that I use an active mini-displayport to hdmi adapter to use this setup.

I am wondering if I need to buy one or two displayport to dvi adapters and if they need to be active or not; Or maybe some other arrangement?

Anybody know?

Thanks!

Assuming that your monitors are 1920x1200 or less at 60Hz or less, you will need one DisplayPort to DVI active adapter (single-link DVI). I've had good success with the Startech DP2DVIS. For a higher resolution monitor, you'll need dual-link DVI.

by just brew it!
FWIW active adapter is always a safe bet, as it should also be compatible with ports which only need a passive adapter.

Thanks that's all I needed to know.

The monitors are older 19" 1280x1024 on DVI so they go well with my 24" 1920x1080 on hdmi.

Thanks for your help guys.
