Only 75% over MSRP is, I suppose, a sign of hope. However it's $30 more than Sapphire's version which is also on sale at Newegg, runs the same clocks and even features a backplate.

Update--woah, that Sapphire sold out only minutes after I posted it here (wasn't me!). The MSI (which meerkt posted about in the main prices thread yesterday) is still in stock.

With Bitcoin surpassing the 10K level once more supply will probably get cleared out all over again. Certainly the midrange cards will be, plenty of pent up demand from gamers to also fill.

Compteley understand the reasoning for the post and thinking here, and I'm not criticizing OP, but holy crap would I never call this a "deal."

This card is a $250 card, on its better days. $150 over what it should really be selling for is so asinine it's hard to describe. I know there are worse situations in GPU land, but if this is what we're looking forward to and getting excited about it really is sad.

It was a legit deal. MSRP, notwithstanding. And one I would have been willing to pay.

I saw this "Deal" in the early morning for hours it was up. I half considered it but decided screw that. If it had been closer to $350 I would have probably bought one.

At the worst of it it was selling for for over $500. Not only will it be selling at that level again, but you can expect scarcity to resume if bitcoin continues to recover.

It's going to make NVIDIA's GPU launch in March insane, I don't see how anyone will have stock on them to sell. Especially since GDDR6 should give NVIDIA hardware a good boost with memory intensive coins.

Oh I know (on both topics), I just had to, again, express my discontent with where things are right now. I just hate it so much.

If people want to game instead of mine, the $250 GTX980 cards kicking around on ebay are much better value than the RX 580s that seem to float around $500 when in stock.

I picked up a sub-£200 MSI one this week to replace my Vega56 so that I can profit yet again from the ridiculous mining demand.
