Talking about Motherboards - Chipsets

Wed Mar 07, 2018 12:58 pm

Are some good chipsets from ATI for AMD motherboards (socket AM2) able to play against the 6 series chipsets from nvidia, or nonexistent?

Your question is ambiguous. Are you asking about integrated graphics, discrete GPUs, or something else?

Socket AM2 is over 10 years old at this point. If you're still running a Socket AM2 system, the choice of GPU or motherboard chipset is the least of your worries. Unless this is a light duty system used just for web browsing and office tasks, you need to get onto a platform that was produced in this decade.
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.
