Over the weekend I got fed up with my GTX 970 losing the signal to my display every time I to play games that use 3D. Mind you the Card kept doing even with games that don't stress dGPUs at all. So I become tired of this, so I just swapped out the component with the one I kept after I upgraded back in Dec 2015. It started doing this earlier this Year with Window games using Steam's Proton, and now Linux Native games.
The games I'm currently playing don't have any issues at all on the 760, but I also spent extra for getting one with 4GB of video memory instead of 2 in 2013. So there is that.
So I am sort of in the market for a new dGPU... I'm also giving heavy consideration for AMD Radeon Cards as Linux perform has greatly improved since 2017 and the fact the drivers are Free and Open Source while Nvidia's are Proprietary.
