<slams head into wall> 9800 Pro hits newegg a day afte

I just ordered my 9700 Pro, and guess what? I just looked and the 9800 Pro hits the shelves at newegg.

Heh, this happens to me *all* the time.

It's gotten to the point where I just don't care anymore.

However, you can always cancel the first order and get a 9800. Newegg is cool that way. ( If it hasn't shipped that is)

I next day aired it - I got it this afternoon and installed it, 6 hours later I looked on their site to grab the model of the 9700 Pro I got and right below my card was the 9800.

Actually another 120$ isn't really worth the performance gain. I'm happy with the gain over my old ti4600 - so I can wait until the Doom3 killer card.

True, I'm very happy with my 9700 Pro, great card. Can't speak highly enough about it.

Di- you know of anyone thats been able to get the Dawn Nvidia demo to run on the 9700?

Same here, I love the performance of my Radeon 9700. I'll probably wait until the 9900 Pro is released before I upgrade

omg are you guys talking about the Sapphire OEM 9800 pro card or a different one that i didnt see? I wanted to wait for a retail one to hit newegg
