Just thought I'd mention that if you happen to have a second full length PCIe slot such as the Lenovo M93P, you can find a pair of low profile Dell OEM R7-250's on Ebay for less than 40 bucks. They crossfire well, scale well, and actually outperform my GTX 1050ti by an average of 10%. Of course when running DX9 titles, crossfire is ignored, but a single R7-250 gets 60fps at maxed out 1080p on most of those games anyway. Just thought I'd throw that out there - definitely a cheap option if you got the slots. I'm running the stock Lenovo PS, which is rated at 250W.

Hi guys,

Has anyone else bought the single slot, low profile ASL 1050 TI or non-TI? I've bought both of these cards on Gearbest, and they both have problems...

First the non-TI, the fan ramps up to 100% fan speed when Windows is started up, and it can't be controlled by MSI Afterburner. I've allready contacted Gearbest and they say the supplier set the default to 100% fanspeed to compensate for the small cooler. Even though they advertise saying: "Quiet cooling fan. Faster cooling effect, experiences mute operation". Total BS, still deciding if I want to send it back or do some hack with a fan controller....

Then the TI, i noticed this one was getting extremely hot. Turns out the fan wasen't working at all. Swapped the fan with the non-TI, problem did not go away. So it's the card that doesn't drive the fan. Had to send it back, still waiting for a new one...

All in all not a good experience with these cards. Too bad, because the quality looks good, and they perform like you would expect. It's just the cooling that let's them down. So beware if you're thinking of buying one....

Hi, I bought ASL G1504 (1050 Ti) through GearBest. My unit is running fine. Fan is performing as it should going to 100% only under full load. My unit is not set to 100% all the time. Maybe you ran into a bad batch..... Chinese quality you know.

Leak specs for the GeForce GTX 1650 put it just slightly behind the GTX 1050 TI and is reportedly to launch April 22. The GTX 1650 TI version will launch at a later date and will have the faster GDDR6 not GDDR5. Both cards will have a TDP of 75w like the GTX 1050 and 1050 TI so a low profile version is not out of the question. Cost will be under $200 usd.

Not low profile, but single slot at least: https://www.anandtech.com/show/14494/co ... phics-card

I wonder if we'll see a 7nm Navi low profile GPU?

MSI just released a low-profile GeForce GTX 1650 that is useless crap because it has ZERO displayport outputs. :(

Well....if there's one, other board makers are sure to follow. Hopefully with different display output choices.

Many displays won't support adaptive sync and/or higher refresh rates using this method.

I wonder why MSI did that with their GTX 1650 when their previous GTX 1050Ti low-profile had displayport? I suppose it does allow for use in those SFF cases that are single-slot but have room inside for a double-width heatsink.

In any case ASUS just announced theirs and it looks about like the Zotac only with a backplate.

Looks like the leaks were correct. Nvidia will release a GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER version with the faster GDDR6 not GDDR5. What will be the cost and it will have a low profile 75w version?

It is pretty quiet here. I was trying to source ASL GTX1650 low profile, single slot out of China but everything is out of stock. Same with ASL G1504. I was able to put my hands on Nine Souls GT 1050 ti though (I have never heard of this brand but oh well, considering there is nothing out there it is worth a shot IMO). I purchased them via Taobao agent (TBfocus). 2 units are on the way. I will post some links once I confirm it was worth a shot. TBH I gambled a bit with this purchase.

Edit: Both units arrived today (22nd of Feb.), I have installed them and can confirm they are legit GT 1050ti. Built quality is average, they are a notch thicker comparing to ASL G1504 (about 3mm ). Also, they are running hot under load (both reached 82C). I will provide more details soon.

Edit: Link to the product below.
https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=568 ... oSite=main

It is running good but hot so far. Valley results and some additional photos below.

We are going to do some gaming now. In case they do not survive The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 I let you know
