EDIT:Looking for software to clone hybrid GPT/MBR disc

Sun Apr 24, 2016 9:45 am

So, I've decided to upgrade disc drives in an old system of mine.
The only trouble is that I've recently reinstalled it and want to clone the disc to the replacement which is going to be a different size.
The rub is that it's dual booted OSX and Windows.

So, I'm wondering what free software people have used to do disc level cloning across two partitions with different file systems, and the bizzare hybrid GPT MBR that the Mac Pro EFI requires for bios compatibility?
(I tried, really really hard, to install windows 10 in a GPT partition so I didn't have to deal with the EFI's BIOS compatibility mode, but I couldn't get it to work. If anyone has a surefire way to get a Mac Pro 3,1 to dual boot windows 10 and OS X with only a GPT partition I'd happily reinstall both OSes to achieve that, and sing your praises)

I know this is an old thread, but I just stumbled across it. For 1 to 1 cloning I use clonedisk (with a K!).

It's a pretty basic UI but it does raw data pulls which is what you want.
