Its such a slow process, maybe it should be used as a benchmark.
I get some speedup if I open Excel and then make the sheet just a few squares and then close Excel. Then when Acrobat opens the sheets it just opens a tiny sheet. I suppose displaying a spreadsheet is not an accelerated task for video cards. All the system drives are SSD's. However, I do have a directory on C mounted as a newtwork drive and I am running the job from the network drive files. I'll have to try doing it directly on the actual drive directory to see if its any faster.
Eh; 15 Excel files took 1min:50sec to compress on the native drive and 1min:53sec on the network drive. No real difference.
