Inherited a Samsung laptop recently. Dead hard drive. Samsung website doesn't have drivers for that seem to work for the Bluetooth or webcam for the NP700z5b for Win 7...and the dang laptop shipped with Win 7. Anyone have any advice on surefire ways to track down drivers easily?

I've found IObit's Driver Booster to be useful.

Other than that, no. That's a pretty old laptop to find drivers for.

Oddly enough, you might have better luck upgrading it to Windows 10 so that you have access to the latest Windows Update catalog, which might resolve some of those issues.

Another possibility, for the BT at least, is to upgrade the BT/WiFi card to something with better support (typically Intel). What model is installed now?

Check in Device Manager what's the PCI or USB device id.
Use that to look up the manufacturer and model, for example here or here.

In my opinion, after my previous experiences with software that claim to easily help with driver updates, I will say to stick with the Windows 10 Microsoft Updater. You really don't need to install any third-party software because Windows 10 will automatically see that your drivers are frequently updated. Most third-party software does more harm than good to your pc and endangers your pc in terms of security. Well, of course, there are some few good ones out there but they are costly, and even Microsoft has its own flaws too. But to be on the safer side, I think you should stick to Windows 10 updater.

I use it all the time often find drivers newer that what is on the manufacturers website...
