1Password - Free Gift

Tue Nov 20, 2018 1:57 pm

https://blog.1password.com/special-than ... 1password/

If anyone is a 1password user around here, I'd be quite appreciative if I could snag that free copy (assuming of course you're not giving it to someone in the family or friend in need)!

Happy Thanksgiving gerbils

Passwords, online storage, subscription pricing? I'd just use KeePass.

I've looked at it. Mobile/sync on KeePass is....mediocre at best. Not to mention you need WINE (or similar) to run it on Linux? Sometimes "it just works" is worth it. Oh btw 1Password can store your vault locally just FYI.

It has native Linux versions available from any major repository.

Well hey this is definitely an instance in which I am happy to admit I'm wrong. The article I read about that particular "feature" said otherwise. I admit I don't recall the date on it.

edit: Though looking around, it seems the versions in the official repositories are pretty old. I'll have to do some more digging.
