VHS capture software

Sun Sep 01, 2019 10:25 pm

I've got this thing which I've had for years. I had an old Windows XP machine that ran the software but it looks like it doesn't run on Win10. So is there anything that runs on Win10 that I can use to convert VHS to mp4?

VLC might be able to use it as an Input.

Have you tried running the software in a virtual machine?

The site for the device you already own has a linked video for installing on Win 7. Have you tried this on Win 10 to see it it will work?

If not, I've had good luck using capture devices from Hauppauge, but I have not done any analog capture in years. They presently have a device called "USB-Live2" that might do what you need, if you have a VCR to which you can connect it. Unfortunately, I have never used this particular item, so I cannot speak from direct experience if it works well.
