I use FreshDownload (which is free and spyware/adware free) for those times I need a download accelerator.

I usually use it when I'm downloading a large number of files off a website. Most servers will only allow you to have two connections at once. I can just queue up the files I want and it'll automatically start one as soon as another file finishes. This is alot more convenient than having to manually start the downloads using a web browser...

Another Vote for fresh download....Although I have not used such a tool in a long time.

I use BulletProof FTP's URL watcher function to grab and queue up URL's when I need to do that usually...

I have dial-up. Therefore download managers are a convenient way to manage big file downloads :-D

If I had broadband, no, I probably wouldn't use it anymore :-D,
