Re: Must Have Programs!

Back from the dead several times. My old post still stands.

Bash, Midnight Commander and a web browser. MC does all my entertainment, it's hooked into all the file types, and invokes whatever in needed when that Enter button gets hit. Mplayer, I finally looked at the GUI on my new install to get the version, does all the video and some of the sound. I surf to a video file, for instance, very fast in good ol MC, and hit enter. Mplayer plays the video, almost any damn video, on my big screen. My last mc.ext is from 2012, it was copied from an earlier mc.ext with a few changes. I have to do far less fooling these days around as most stuff is set up well.

Firefox for surfing on the small screen and Chrome for entertainment on the big screen.

I just play games in win 10 and have done almost nothing to it. Install Steam, video drivers, ... we are done.

Shouldn't that be Cyberfox?
It would take you 2,363 continuous hours or 98 days,11 hours, and 35 minutes of gameplay to complete your Steam library.
In this time you could travel to Venus one time.

I dunno, downloading it now. Chrome on Linux is just better at video than the fox.

No sound, it's not picking up ALSA I guess. I may or may not fool with it some more. ;)
