Super Bowl 50

Sun Feb 07, 2016 4:33 pm

I hope Manning/The sheriff can pull of another SB victory B4 he retires, Plus I Love the Broncos Defence/which is sorta related to my Favorite defence of all time...Buddie Ryans 46 with reggie white and jerome browns last year "I forget it could be 87 eagles defence I just cannot remember" So like the Bronco's defence and am looking forward to see how they cope with The Big Bad Carolina Panthers...they are a very solid team with a Big lineup and can overpower a defence....hoping the Bronco's defence will hold enough to give Denver the win.
But I hope it not a blowout either way. I would actually like to watch a close game along with the commercials. IT sure is the only time of the year I ever want to watch a commercial.

I've always liked Peyton Manning and if they were playing anyone else, I'd pull for the Broncos. But I live and work in the Charlotte area and have been a Panthers fan for years. We're all pumped up for the game around here!!

That was an entertaining game. Peyton gets to ride off into the sunset thanks to a dominating defense.

The Broncos won in spite of their best efforts. That fourth-quarter twist was worth the entire four hours, though. Honorable mention: Beyonce as "Left Shark" to ColdPlay and Bruno Mars, the latter of whom was dressed to kick off his new career in a Korean Pop Band.

It was pretty obvious that Beyonce and Bruno are better entertainers than Cold Play. However, I guess that the NFL went with whichever artist was willing to pay the most to perform "at no cost to the league."

Woo wee...Happy camper here that bronco defence has made a believer outta me, they were the best in the league but to totally dominate Carolina's offence like that was impressive along with the 6 or 7 sacks on the big boy Cam newton who is awesome if he stays healthy. On top of that He was healthy so no excuses except that the offensive line could not hold back the Bronco's defence.

Was a good game to watch. Was annoyed at Peyton's jealous little brother once the Broncos seals the deal he did not even smile "at least I didn't see him do it" for his brother or the broncos. Peytons Shadow is bothering Eli I think.

Cannot comment on the halftime show I fell asleep gourged on Chinese food and Philadelphia cheese steaks during the halftime show because I was out from 8:30 till like 4am to the after hours clubs with the wifey Sat night.

Re: Super Bowl 50

I've been drinking and posting to social media all night, but I'll share my final thoughts.

1) This is a great storyline for Peyton to go out as a champion of SB50. It's the right time, he gets to end on the highest note, and I freaking love the guy. If he signed a 1-day contract with the Colts before retiring (like Jeff Saturday did), he would absolutely be welcome in Indianapolis.

2) While I think that many people and teams undervalued Carolina, I never believed for a second that they were a 15-1 team (nor a 17-1 team). They always had major holes, and Denver's defense exploited that all night. Cam is lucky he only threw the one interception, IMO.

3) Speaking of Denver's D, HOLY CRAP. Peyton or no Peyton, if Elway and company can keep all of those guys together, Denver will repeat in SB51. If they get a decent QB (and keep said defense), I would not be surprised if they could go undefeated. That defense is really, really good.
On second thought, let's not go to TechReport. It's infested by crypto bull****.

Agreed on the defense. They will franchise tag Von Miller so that he can stay. Osweiler will test out free agency.

I am not sure John Elway can keep that defense together because of the salary cap. Remember, the Patriots could not retain Darelle Revis or any other higher-priced defenders for that reason.

Should 18 retire? Yes. Will he do it now? No, because he is putting his TEAM first.

As for the Panthers, I am pleased that Cam and the Newtons lost (mostly because I am a Bucs fan :D ). Then again, Cam and the Panthers will return sooner or later :( . Ever since Kurt Warner in 1999, the NFL regular season MVP and his team either did not made the same year's Super Bowl or LOST the SB. Just ask Rich Gannon in 2002, or Tom Brady in 2007, or Peyton Manning in 2013.

A disappointing loss, and a disappointing reaction from the franchise QB and MVP of the league. He's got some maturing to do. If you beg for the spotlight all the time, don't get all pissy when things don't go your way. Show some class.

The Denver defense played fabulous and kept Cam off track all night. All the best to Peyton Manning.

I was actually starting to like Cam but now he is just another nut and bolt to me......He acted like a spoiled little baby, thank goodness he did not win.
BTW Carolina gad a couple crybabies on the sideline also, I understand it is their career/life but to be sobbing on the sidelines you have to remember you at least made it to the superbowl for gods sake, so stand tall, keep your head up and be a good looser. It is not like ya lost 35-0. Also no family member/close friend or whoever died so MAN UP! Ya big sissies.

I'm still hoarse from yesterday :D

I'm positive that PM will retire, not sure as a Bronco or Colt.. (could go either way :D).

I'm hoping that Von Miller gets an extension, but wouldn't be surprised if he gets franchise tagged..

Malik Jackson is the biggest piece that we're going to miss.. I'm pretty sure he's played himself into a huge contract this season. I'm optimistic for keeping most of the band together, but I don't know if they can be as dominating next year... Maybe if Wade Phillips sticks around as DC..

Wade Philips will stay. No reason for him to be an NFL head coach again since he has mostly failed at the head job. John Elway does have some serious rebuilding to do though.

I finally got around to watching Lady Gaga sing The Star Spangled Banner.

I thought she blew the roof off the place. Figuratively speaking, of course. Excellent performance.

Did not see much of anything else. Might try to find a video of the halftime festivities.

I wish Wade Phillips would come back to Philadelphia....we desperately need a defensive coordinator, a Head Coach "thank god Chip Kelley's we do the same thing almost every play is gone" and I would not mind a new General manager too even though I forget who we have as GM right now:)
I know we should have kept LeSean McCoy since he was getting yards even though opponents knew when we were gonna run/pass every play almost....he is definitely a better fit to Chip's style of offence, way better than McCoys's replacement from all places Dallas's DeMarco Murray!

If anyone is interested look at this article explaining why Chip the dip wanted to change RB's when McCoy like almost or did lead the league in 2014 in rushing it is crazy how wrong he is...were McCoy is strong is his 0-100mph speed and his lateral ability, where Murray is much slower off the line and needs a little head of steam to get going IMHO.
Here is the article for anyone interested in the Eagles My team:) I am from and live in Philly and will never jump ship..and yes I hate the Cowboys Giants and the Redskins....Also not a fan of Pittsburgh That is Hicksville compared to Philadelphia Our real 1st capital and city of un-brotherly love..err I mean Brotherly:)
