NHL 2016-2017

Fri Dec 23, 2016 12:55 am

He's beat Gordie Howe, he's beat Mark Messier. Only Gretzky stands in front of him. Jaromir Jagr is #2 in all-time points and is an ageless warrior who still has "it". That said, it's real hard to rock a proper NHL mullet at 44.

Gretzky was 28 when he had the number of points Jagr has now. He's still almost 1000 points ahead of Jagr for #2. It's amazing what Jagr has done in his career. Even more so when you consider his career was hampered by lockouts, and a couple years in the KHL.

On a shocking note, the Jackets are in first in the whole league with games in hand on almost everyone. I didn't even have them pegged for anywhere near the playoffs.

I'm rooting for my Sens, who are doing well. I had them struggling to get in, but they seem to be separating themselves and putting pressure on the Habs for first in the division!

And the Penguins advance and keep the loathsome Ovechkin away from the Cup. This Flyers fan has no love for the Pens, but they stepped up and kept him from the Cup once again.

Is my disdain for Ovechkin showing?
