I knew I shouldn't have bet against North Carolina!

And Rock, Choke, Jayhawk it is. How can a program be so consistently good year after year, get top recruits, play top teams all season and win, but repeatedly underperform in the tournament?

Congrats to Gonzaga! I'd be happy to see them win it all, or even Oregon... or South Carolina. I'm gonna root for underdogs here on out.

Seriously. I think they're a bit too confident in their own abilities sometimes. They can beat anyone, any time. But then just forget to show up sometimes.

What we have today is way too much pluribus and not enough unum.

I stayed up late Friday night for that game. Couldn't watch it since I don't have cable, but I kept refreshing EPSN.com with the score all through the 4th quarter and OT. Awesome win for MSU... too bad they couldn't follow up with a title.

Too bad in general that the women's game doesn't get the recognition it deserves. For the past several years I have enjoyed watching the women's NCAA tourney games (when able) much more than the men's. Those gals know they don't have 8-figure contracts waiting for them, so they stay in school 4 years, form solid teams, and play great fundamental basketball, all purely for love of the game. My best friend had the good fortune to get to see UConn play at Maryland during the regular season and said it was some of the best basketball he'd ever seen.

But you know... they can't dunk, so it must suck.
A most unfortunate, Freudian, double entendre is that hotel named "Budget Inn."
