Hey guys..

I got a reminder from Yahoo about registering for Fantasy Football already.. (Good time since nothing is happening).

In some altered mind state, I seem to have volunteered to take over managing the league from Captain Ned... I really don't know what I was thinking.

Anyway, I wanted to a) gauge interest and b) find out if we wanted to switch platforms away from Yahoo, since there have been lots of complaints..

@Captain, was I taking over all the TR leagues (not BBQ), or just one of them?

First, it's way too early to think about fantasy football. Yahoo only does that to shovel ads to you.

Second, I just made you commish for Keepers and Bounties. FroBozz owns BBQ. Make sure you renew Keepers before the deadline, or you'll end up like I did last year having to hand-enter all of the keepers.

Third, I've used ESPN. It sucks worse than Yahoo.

I vote for staying with Yahoo - maybe I have Stockholm syndrome

Just writing to express interest, although I haven't been in the league for several years. As to Yahoo v ESPN, I think you should go with what works for you.

I'm not going to play this year. I did last year just to keep even teams. Cuhulin is welcome to my slot; I just deleted my team from the Bounties league.

I wanted to make sure I didn't go through that hassle..

Anyway, leagues are renewed.. I'll change names etc later.

I was investigating FleaFlicker and FanTrax as options. FleaFlicker is very minimalist, and has some interesting options if we want to explore those. I haven't looked closely at FanTrax yet, but seems to be pretty straight forward.

Apparently the best alternative is MFL, but it's not free..

For those interested, (especially keeper owners), let me know if I should put up a poll.

Tempted.. I'm in one other money league, best I can manage will be 2 money leagues..

I'm game, which means I'm losing.

EDIT: As for Keepers, if everyone gets their keepers in on time and druidcent approves everything, there's no need for a pre-draft as the Yahoo app will take care of everything in live draft.

If we get 10 people, i'd commission if need be.
I am thinking of between $25 to $100 per person, payable in advance.
Not too rich, but enough to make people pay attention to their team.

We can pay 1 to 3 places, what ever the league wants.


Just figure I'd toss it out.

I've ignored this pretty much until now - I'll get BBQ sorted this weekend and sign into the others.

So, I'm IN.

Im in for a money league $20 or more..........this will either keep people interested or give the rest of us a better chance at the cash.
Also, this needs to be collected before the first regular season game or im out.

I can commish or someone else can.

Also, must be able to talk smack and not get too upset when they are made fun of

I gave up non money leagues...........I tried to generate a money league here but it really didn't go anywhere.

If I have to suffer people not playing properly the entire season, I gotta get some money out of it

This was the first year that I was able to participate in the draft due to changes in work. This will be a good chance to see if ignorance can work as a draft strategy. As well as hoping that the Vikings have a good year.

I got a medal for the biggest blowout last week after stomping my arch-enemy Frobozz! Playing him twice this season almost guarantees me a playoff spot.
