Disagree- Fitz still threw for 400+ despite the picks. Yeah he lost, but not by much. Man our defense is garbo. Still, that Vance McDonald stiff arm was beautiful. I've watched this about a doze times.

Week 4

Thursday Night Football 9/27
Minnesota Vikings at Los Angeles Rams

Sunday 9/30
New York Jets at Jacksonville Jaguars
Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots
Philadelphia Eagles at Tennessee Titans
Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts
Buffalo Bills at Green Bay Packers
Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Chicago Bears
Cincinnati Bengals at Atlanta Falcons
Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals
Cleveland Browns at "Oakland Raiders"
New Orleans Saints at New York Giants
San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Chargers

Sunday Night Football
Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers

Monday Night Football, 10/1
Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos

Sweet! This is the first week I get to pick my Colts for a win! Sorry, paulWTAMU, but your Texans are having trouble, and the game is in Indy. Maybe your guys keep it close, but I think Indy wins this one.

I'm also taking a pair of risk picks this week. Gruden would be in some serious trouble if he goes 0-4 with a loss to the Browns, but I have a feeling that is exactly what is going to happen. Cleveland's defense has been playing good football for 3 weeks, and if Mayfield stays sharp in his first start, they get the road win. The other risk is Pat Mahomes in his first real test against Denver's defense. Despite KC's weak defense in 3 weeks, I'm still betting on his ability to spread the ball around and outscore the opponent. It should be fun to watch, if nothing else.

Sunday 9/30
New York Jets 12 at Jacksonville Jaguars 31
Miami Dolphins 7 at New England Patriots 38
Philadelphia Eagles 23 at Tennessee Titans 26
Houston Texans 37 at Indianapolis Colts 34
Buffalo Bills 0 at Green Bay Packers 22

The Browns got robbed by officials today. And my Colts had an awful OT performance that could (should?) have ended in a tie.

EDIT: Didn't catch MNF, but the Chiefs stay perfect and give me one correct pick on the week!

Just to keep track of this...

The Winless
Arizona Cardinals

The Undefeated
Kansas City Chiefs
Los Angeles Rams

Cardinals play SF twice before their bye, and I think those are their best chances at getting wins right now (Broncos and Vikings sandwiched between those games). Rams mainly need to get through the next two weeks (Seattle and Denver) to stay undefeated. Chiefs have basically 4 weeks of hell to stay undefeated, hosting Jacksonville, traveling to New England, hosting Cincinnati, then hosting the MNF rematch against the Broncos.

Oh, and if the Rams and Chiefs manage to stay undefeated into Week 11, both teams travel to Mexico City.

Week 5

Thursday Night Football 10/4
Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots

Sunday 10/7
Tennessee Titans at Buffalo Bills
Atlanta Falcons at Pittsburgh Steelers
Denver Broncos at New York Jets
Jacksonville Jaguars at Kansas City Chiefs
Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions
Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns
New York Giants at Carolina Panthers
Miami Dolphins at Cincinnati Bengals
"Oakland" Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers
Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers
Minnesota Vikings at Philadelphia Eagles
Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks

Sunday Night Football
Dallas Cowboys at Houston Texans

Monday Night Football, 10/8
Washington Redskins at New Orleans Saints

I think Ravens/Browns will be really a good game, at least if you like watching defense. I also think the Rams will exploit a weaker Seattle defense, with high blowout potential. I'm also betting against the Vikings and Steelers this week. The Falcons and Eagles have some issues, but I think they're more complete than their opponents, and I think they can score a lot of points quickly.

And per my post from Monday, big games coming for Arizona and KC. The Cards have one of their best shots at winning their first game. The Chiefs have the hardest test yet against the Jaguars, although I think that will come down to KC's defense. Mahomes will find ways to beat the Jaguars defense, but if Bortles can do the same, we'll quickly see a shootout determined by turnovers.

Andy Reid is one of the best regular season head coaches in the league. The Chiefs consistently make the playoffs or are playoff contenders...But he's also one of the worst clock managers and is terrible in the postseason. I would be happy for him to make the AFC championship of Super Bowl, but he's got to win in January for that to happen.

Okay, sure, I'll pick the entire NFC North to win this week. The Bears have what should be the toughest opponent out of the three, but it's a moment for Chicago to prove they are ready to contend for the division title. Minnesota and Green Bay *should* dominate their respective games. SNF should be the best game of the week, but don't treat it like a sneak peak of the AFC Championship game. Even if both teams make it there, a lot can change between now and then, and I expect vastly different approaches in January (from both teams, hopefully).

Picking the Vikings at home against the lowly Cardinals isn't very adventuresome. Based on what those two teams have shown so far, ELO says that's the most lopsided game of the week (74%). The Packers are also favored (66%) at home over the 49ers. A Bears win on the road against the Dolphins would be a mild upset (46%).

Eli, do yourself and your team a favor. Retire right now and waive all future contract payments. The team needs that money a lot more than you do (and I've never been a Giants fan).

If Giants management was stupid enough to get themselves into this situation, why should anyone else give up their livelihood to try to help bail them out?

Saquon Barkley is a terrific running back, but a team in the Giants’ situation should never have drafted a running back instead of a quarterback. Even if the Giants tank the 2018 season and get a chance at another top draft pick in 2019, by the time they get done rebuilding the rest of the team and coaching up a new quarterback, their star running back is likely to have been used up. Most players don’t last long in the league at that position.

Eli isn't doing great, but McAdoo tried the "blame it on Eli" strategy last year, and things got no better. That team needs a cleaning from top to bottom.

1. The old school Giants unis they wore on Thursday were baller. They should go back to them as default.
2. I don't really agree with that so much. I think Eli is more or less done, but if he had the weapons that Tom Brady has had in his career, Patrick Mahomes has now, or an actual offensive line things would be much rosier. I still think it's time for Eli to move on.

Agreed. Their uniforms were the only thing that looked good on Thursday.

He could probably manage this season just fine...if he had the support staff you mention. But the key thing is, a new QB isn't going to magic the rest of the team into existence. They'd still be stuck behind a flimsy O-line, and the once-great defense would still be crumbling.

Sure, the Giants need a new QB, and they were going to need one sooner or later. I just think that aging Eli is a smaller part of a much bigger problem in New York Jersey.

Monday Night Football, 10/15
San Francisco 49ers 30 at Green Bay Packers 33

EDIT: After the Chiefs first loss of 2018, the Rams stand as the only undefeated team (for now). But I still believe in Mahomes and the Chiefs more. In fact, I am glad that they got a wake-up call this early, as it gives them plenty of time to regroup to make a better playoff run. If SNF's matchup repeats in January, I expect a completely different affair.

On second thought, let's not go to TechReport. It's infested by crypto bull****.
