Forum Freeks Trade Talk Thread

Wed Oct 27, 2004 2:29 pm

Post your available players and trade talk stuff for the Forum Freeks league here. Keep in mind though, that others in your league are watching you negotiate, and may try to throw a monkeywrench in your deal (I know I'd try to if someone was making a deal that would be bad for me or good for my opponent)

Thanks for creating the trade talk stickies.
From an earlier post of mine from the Week 7 thread:

Forum Freeks
I will offer up: (in order of fantasy production so far this season, noted by the number)

T. Holt (WR) 46
E. George (RB) 28
A. Crumpler (TE) 27
R. Curry (WR) 24
A. Bryant (WR) 10
J. Rice (WR) 2

Up as potential trade fodder for your consideration

I'm mostly looking for WR's. If you take Crumpler, I would part a replacement TE to be part of the deal. Make me an offer and we will see. I would want a good WR if Holt is part of the deal. If you take George I would want a replacement RB probably. I want Onterio Smith, Z-Man

Does Warrick Dunn (RB) 56 pts, and Michael Clayton (WR) 36, for Holt and George interest you? Would also be willing to throw into the deal Eric Johnson (TE) 32, or Daniel Graham (TE) 37, for anyone you dont want.

FroBozz_Inc wrote:
I would want a better WR then that for Holt, on the RB side of things, that's a great deal. I am wanting more of a star WR then a star RB.
Holt has been underperforming a bit this year, week 6 he broke out. He is a top five WR.

So yeah, I was hoping for a multi-player deal w/ someone for a good WR on their end, and Holt, and whomever else on my end. If you want my TE, please offer up a comparable TE as part of the deal.

Thanks

Well I'm looking for WR, but I've only got a RB to give up.. anyone looking at Staley or M.Moore for a productive WR (doesn't have to top-tier, but should be consistent) let me know...

Well if you ever decide to reconsider, the offer still stands.

Anyone interested in McNair? I've also got a few others I might be persuaded to trade. I'm looking for some WR and RB help. I'm not looking for much, just trying to cover some of my injuries.

Good Question!!!

I was basically hoping to offer up my 1st picked, best WR in my squad for another good receiver, plus some other guys in my list to sweeten the deal. Now that I think we are too late for the any trades to be effective for week 8, I will re-evaluate come Monday night. I'm pretty sure I'll be even more ready to make a deal w/ someone by that point. Any reasonable offers will be considered still in the meantime though.

Um.. Culpepper isn't a kicker :-)

And I like Manning's match ups the next couple weeks (along with the fact that everyone likes to point out the Vikings collapse right around now :))

I've got a couple of players I'm willing to offer up as a trade:

TE: Dallas Clark (IND). He's got 42 total fantasy points on the year so far. 17 of them were from yesterday :o but he still averages 5 points a game and is in the top 5 of TEs. Why am I offering to trade him then? Because I've got Gates. :D

WR: Drew Bennett (TEN). He's got 40 total fantasy points with an average of 5 per game. He's good as a #3 WR. I've already got Mason so I'd rather not keep carrying two WRs from the same team.

I'm looking for a RB and a WR (as a replacement for Bennett).

Ahhh! I might need a WR bad now...

I will look into this later on and you might get an offer, Kevin.

Then they must have PM'ed you :D cause if I'm logged in and go to my team I always see the yellow box above my roster... you also see the box when some one else is making a trade and you get to review it...

My PM box was full yesterday, so perhaps it got bounced or something.

random gerbil: You'll have to send the offer again. If it was e-mail, my spam filters may have killed it, my PM box was full so it might have died in transit, and if it was through Yahoo, it didn't show up on my team page.

Was through yahoo. Strange. Will make the offer again in a sec.

I had three trade proposals going, but I axed one of them...

Turns out the Bus is probably going to play after all.

I had a player deal (3 on a side) for Holmes for Barber and swapping TE's and swapping another WR that I can't remember. Maybe I'll make another offer like that after this weekend after I re-evaluate.

If none of them work out, no biggie - worth a try to shake things up a bit B4 the deadline...

FroBozz - swapping TEs seems kinda pointless to me - it just comes down to 2 people betting on who's going to be more productive and doesn't fill specific needs at all.

Well I guess I was trying to sweeten the deal.
Not sure who's side I was sweetening more...that's the funny part.
Maybe there will be another offer floated before the deadline, after this weekend.

Excellent. Though knowing my luck, Dunn will score 4 tds on sunday and Clark get injured and out the rest of the season.
