Stop the Anna Kournikova comparisons

Dannica Patrick wins the Japan 300.

Nice to see. I thought she was a good racer, but her record so far didn't match that perception. I'm glad that her on-track performance is starting to live up to the off-track hype. A win at Indy would be good too.

While I think Danica is pretty hot, but IMO Anna is way higher on the hot scale. So I don't think the comparisons are even appropriate.

Now that she wins one will she now be compared to Maria Sharapova? No... ****... way... Maria is super hot on top of that hot scale.

Now that's the Kournikova of golf. Anna-esque supermodel hot body, but still has not won anything yet.

I'm sure Natalie can't squeak as good as Maria too. :P

If the fugly ones want to be heard they can only do that by winning and winning big time. The problem these days is that sports is not just sports anymore. There are endorsements and such so vendors need "marketable" people, and that usually mean you need to be decent looking if they need to put you on billboards and TVs.

Its the same phenomena that makes for no ugly pop singers. You think that Mama Cass would be able to make a living in music now? Janis Joplin? Hell no.

He was completely wrong and if the guy in the grey jacket hadn't restrained Danica I have no doubt that she'd have kicked the crap out of his entire pit crew. Watching her stalk off to wherever you could see the steam and frustration boiling out of her. The ESPN team on SportsCenter even posited that "Hell hath no fury like a woman ..." and could never really fill the ... without going beyond censor range.

That was Briscoe's fault for sure.

Now, the F1 race in Monaco this morning was awesome...

Oh, and Kournikova is doing Triathalons now.

The Williams sisters were/are pretty famous, and I didn't think they were attractive.

Most woman's sports are too boring to watch for the actual contest, so I don't see how they could get famous without adding something else to the mix.

Plus, by virtue of being an athlete, they can't get too ugly. They could have a horrible looking face, but that's about it. They are going to have a thin, toned body because they need to, in order to compete.

Kelly Law was sort of hot for a married curler when she won her champ. I know JJ is supposed to be cute but somehow I just can't bring myself around to like her smug attitude.

Those on the calendars are fine ones that's for sure.

Enough curling. Ivanovic seems pretty cute too, and now she has a major, she may even surpass Sharapova?

Hey FP when is this picture taken? She looked so much slimmer (good athletic slim not Hollywood anorexic slim mind you) than before (or after)? I remembered when she first joined the tour the last couple of years she always looked sort of a bit too heavy to me. I think this year she started to slim up a bit and she seems to be able to move better on the courts.

That said, what's that ring on the ring finger? Don't tell me she's taken? :o
