There isn't a single Big Ten team that deserves to go to a BCS game. Even Penn State, who is clearly the best team in the conference is getting fat playing some of these also-ran programs

And has a big time program ever fallen so far, so fast as Michigan has? :o

I bet that Michigan fans are wishing Llyod Carr would return as head coach now.Miami certainly isnt the team it was 5 years ago. This coming weekend's game between Ohio State and Penn State ought to tell the tale.I still think USC is overranked, the Pac 10 is a pretty weak conference after them, certainly no where near the SEC or Big 12.Anyways I'm going to stop naming here who i hope goes undefeated since they invariably lose the next weekend. Texas has looked awfully good the last 2 weeks though.

That was awesome. They were saying on the 5pm SportsCenter that the SEC basically said he was trying to defend himself. From WHAT?

ESPN.com's Bottom 10
1. North Texas 0-7 "Like A Prayer": "Life is a mystery" for the Mean Green -- at least on the football field. UNT is No. 119 in scoring defense. Praying for a win couldn't hurt.
2. Washington State 1-7 "You Must Love Me": How can the Bottom 10 not love the Cougars? They rank No. 118 in scoring defense and scoring offense. What's not to love about that?
3. Washington 0-6 "Causing A Commotion": The Huskies are the only winless team in a BCS conference. And that doesn't exactly have the folks in Seattle dancing.
4. Idaho 1-7 "Crazy For You": The Vandals are last in total defense (No. 119). You know it's true. That's why the Bottom 10 is crazy, crazy for you.
5. Wisconsin 3-4 "Express Yourself": Bucky's four-game slide capped by the loss to Iowa is just the kind of expression we're looking for in a No. 5 spot contender.
6. San Diego State 1-6 "La Isla Bonita": The Aztecs aren't winning much on the field, but we hear the weather is lovely over on Coronado Island this time of year.
7. Utah State 1-6 "Lucky Star": The Aggies beat No. 4 Idaho. The Vandals must be their lucky star, but we're the luckiest by far since that's Utah State's lone win.
8. SMU 1-7 "Vogue": The Ponies are striking a pose, but it's definitely not the one they hoped for when June Jones agreed to come to Dallas.
9. Kent State 1-6 "Justify My Love": The Golden Flashes are last (and winless) in the MAC East. They are No. 90 in scoring offense. They are No. 111 in turnover margin. That enough for you?
10. Syracuse 1-6 "Dress You Up": As long as the Orange keep losing, we're gonna dress them up in our Bottom 10 love. And with no more FCS teams on the schedule, chances are they'll keep dancing here.
Waiting list: Eastern Michigan (2-6), Michigan (2-5), Missouri's defense, Southern Miss (2-5), Toledo (2-5), UCF (2-4), Wyoming (2-5).

does anyone think Penn State would actually have any chance at all against ANY of the Big 12 teams in the top 25.
Having Penn St up there shows the flaw in the poll system. people are idiots.

kinda like Ball St. if they ever played anyone decent they'd get beat.
the difference is, Ball St is 18.. not far above where they belong, while Penn St should be around #10 or #11
The Big 10 is an absolute joke.

Nebraska could probably take Penn St out... and Nebraska is at the bottom of the big 12 pile

Any chance at all? Sure. A reasonable chance? No. The Big 10 is a joke this year. I'm sad to say.

perhaps if all the starters on the opposing team ate some bad food and had the craps and couldnt play.

They'd beat the pudding out of Nebraska....

That said I miss the days prior to the BCS. It has not really changed anything like it was supposed to. People still bitch about the rankings, so lets ditch it and go back to the ole division rivalries.

why? so the crappy Big 10 teams dont get completely exposed in the BCS games?
cant wait for this year's bowl games.

I'm fairly confident the top Big 12 teams will dominate everyone this year. .. except perhaps OK since they dont have a great defense.. but they'll still win.

Well admittedly they do have an easy schedule. Other than Ohio State they should now go undefeated (unless MSU throws a monkey wrench in). I just don't like Nebraska, they are the whole reason we are in this mess.

If it weren't for the commissioners of the Big 10 and PAC 10 being totally opposed to a playoff, we could have a much better system than the BCS.

I wouldn't mind seeing Texas vs. Penn State for the championship, mostly just to put Jo Pa to pasture on a high note.Maybe the Top 3 will all finish out undefeated.Anyways ,now that I've stated it they'll all probably end up losing and USC will end up in the championship.

Texas would stomp a mudhole in Penn State. So would USC, George, Alabama, Oklahoma and Florida.
