System Build August/September delayed?

Mon Sep 11, 2017 5:24 am

Hello,
I have noticed that last system build was from May 2017.
Are we going to have new ones coming?
I love these reports.
Thank you.

The staff might be waiting for Coffee Lake.

I don't know whether Ryzen without or a cup of coffee sounds better right now, but one or the other is needed!
For Work: Corsair One Pro, i7-7700, 16GB, GTX 1080, Samsung 49KS8000 and 2xAsus 27" 4K, 2 x Sonos Play 5

For Play: Ryzen 5, MSI B350M, 8GB, Radeon 580 and building....

Personally I don't see what a new system builder guide would do differently. Nothing that's come out in the last four months has any bearing on the price/performance brackets that the TR guide covers.

Very true. For all the hype that was generated for Threadripper and i9, they are almost completely irrelevant to 99.9% of computer users. Techreport has never really focused on products in that range because most of them aren't any better for "normal" enthusiasts (not professionals) than the latest i5 or i7 K.

If current price trends hold, they'll be downgrading RAM, storage, and GPU performance for each build...

In the light of the comments above ... why no review yet?
