Musta been. How long was the Rage XL in production for, just for the server market?

350nm Rage XL (which was essentially a die-shrink of Rage Pro) from 1998 was finally replaced by the 180nm ATI ES1000 in 2007. The ES1000 was also PCI-bus and DX6 class with the same 8 million transistors as the Rage XL so was probably mostly a die-shrink of Rage XL. So brand new server boards came with Rage XL until 2007, but a close relative even after that.

Nowadays everyone seems to just use the VGA included on an embedded BMC controller instead.
