Just for reading? I don't see the point of that. It's good for someone wanting to build a system. What do you gain from that if you aren't planning to build? Staying up to date? That would make sense only if you don't keep yourself abreast of the latest and greatest by reading other tech websites like Anandtech or Techpowerup or Hothardware.
