a good mid range card

Tue Nov 01, 2005 2:08 pm

What is a good mid-range ($200-$300) agp video card? I currently have a Radeon 9200.
Mainly, I want one that will be able to get through the HDR requirements in Half Life 2, Lost Coast.
I haven't enough money to buy a new mobo with pci-e, least of all a new pci-e card, so I'm stuck with agp for a while.

A Geforce 6800GT or Radeon x800xl are both in this price range, and both are very good cards. I have an AGP Saphire x800xl in my box, and HL2:Lost Cost runs beautifully on it.

If violence isn't solving your problems, then you aren't using enough of it.

Moved to the System Builder forum. Should have been done two weeks ago.
