Well, the whole USB header issue was due to motherboard manufacturers using differing header pin-outs for the USB headers. For instance, I had a Gigabyte and a MSI motherboard which had completely different pin-outs for the headers.

I think it is less the case manufacturers problem and more the mobo manufacturers problem. :wink:

Until Mo/Bo manufactures all agree on a standard pin layout, nothing is going to change.

And make no mistake, the pin layout does vary. I think thinks things are getting better, but as long as there are some different layouts out there, case manufactures are gonna want to be as versatile as possible.

I think you need to blame Mo/Bo manufactures instead of case manufactures.

I would be extremly happy if they would come up with a standard for all the switches and LEDs, I get so tired of always plugging at least one of them in wrong each time I build a computer. Maybe it will happen in the future though...although I am not holding my breath.
