x79 mobo and mobo trays

Wed Nov 09, 2011 4:47 pm

Am I mistaken to think that the upcoming x79 mobos will not align with the cutouts on existing mobo trays for the cpu heat sink back plate??? Its not a serious issue but one I'm trying to understand. I was looking at a coolmaster haf full case and didn't know if waiting for the release of the x79 would impact the cutout on that tray(basically will coolmaster update it?)

None of the backplates for any mobo I've owned have lined up on my HAF 932 since I got it.

That includes:

DFI P35 Blood Iron
MSI P45 something
ASRock 890FX Deluxe5
Gigabyte Z68XP-UD4
Z68XP-UD4 | 2700K @ 4.7 GHz | 32 GB | GTX Titan X | Seasonix Gold 850 | XSPC RX360 | Heatkiller R3 | D5 + RP-452X2 | Cosmos II | 480 + 240 + Perc H200(128x8) SSDs
