Another Update: just purchased G.Skill Ripjaws 2x4GB RAM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820231314 for $63 and a Corsair CX430 PSU on sale for $40 with a $20 mail in rebate, so after around 3 or 4 months it will only have cost me $20 haha. It had a lot of positive reviews and I figured for that price it was worth a shot. Payday is Friday and then I'm gonna pick up the i3 3225, ASRock Z77 Pro4-m, and hopefully a bluray drive. Then its time to build! (Ceton and SSD coming hopefully on my birthday)
Looking ahead, does anybody have any tips from experience on making sure the first boot goes smoothly? I've done plenty of reading and youtubing but as far as tweaking the bios and order of installation/updates, etc. I could feel more comfortable. Also, what antivirus software do you guys suggest? Microsoft Security Essentials? And has anybody used Ninite before?
Edit: I have no need for burning blu rays, just ripping. I can do this with a regular blu ray drive and not just a burner, correct? That will save me some money.
