One little screw

Tue Jun 03, 2014 11:33 pm

I just got all the parts for my new computer after a 2 month process of waiting for individual parts to go on sale. I finish seating processor and cleaning it and then i realize i am missing one of the four screws for my heatsink. Grr!

I guess i will pop on the intel one for now but it will be a pain to swap them out.

Have you carefully searched your build area? Maybe the missing screw just rolled under something.

That's the usual hiding spot.
What we have today is way too much pluribus and not enough unum.

I checked thoroughly but i did this build one step at a time so i noticed as soon as i pulled the first screw out of the bag.

Thanks for the advice though. I do wish that more manufacturers would take a tiny hit on profits and offer an extra screw just in case.
