BestBuy... yup, they were actually useful. I ordered this for someone on an ultra low budget who was trying to make this work with an HP Compaq 8300 Elite SFF. This card fit, didn't require a 6 or 8 pin power, is rated for 50w peak consumption and actually is running flawlessly on the 240w PSU that came with the HP. It replaced a useless Nvidia Quadro unit that was rated for 17w, and I Kill-A-Watt checked the computer using the IGP of it's i5-3470 at a MAX 104w while stress testing between both FurMark and/or Prime95. The 240w supply claims MAX to be 240w load on the 12v too FYI.

Anyhow, thought this might be useful for anyone on an ultra low budget, space constrained or PSU limited. It fit the bill for all 3 of these and shipped to AK for free.

That's a heck of a deal for a modern low-power card for desktop work and video watching. Modern drivers too. Triple threat of display outputs. (yeah yeah light gaming)

Not bad. How do they compare to NVidia's 1030? Have I mentioned TR should do a big low-end card roundup?

I think they trade blows pretty well when it comes to games, but the 1030 is a 30W card and the RX 550 is a 50W card. This is one instance where power might matter to some people IMO. Both can decode HEVC thankfully so you can't realllllly go wrong with either.
