Gigabyte GA-AB350-M-Gaming 3 + GA RX 580 8GB

Wed Feb 07, 2018 6:07 am

I hate to post this... But for you Mass Drop folks. There is the Gigabyte GA-AB350-M-Gaming 3 and Gigabyte RX 580 8GB. For $459.99

Considering other sites are considering the Newegg 1070 + z370 board for $600 a good deal... Then this most certainly is.

In case anyone wants a 580 8GB and might need a B350 motherboard too.

Sort of tempted myself. 3 days left until close.

$80 mobo + $250 GPU + $130 markup.....ooph, sad times we live in.

To be fair, that mobo is $60 after MIR on newegg right now + a Powercolor RX580 8GB for a total of $470.

If you can stand to wait a few months until GPU prices die down, I would. By that point AMD's motherboards revised for Zen+ may have hit too, and the AB350 will likely be going for something closer to clearance prices. I know I'm speaking with a lot of hypotheticals, but I'd rather save hundreds of dollars and wait a little while unless you need a new system very quickly.

I agree with what both of you said for sure, I'm just speaking from a current market standpoint. With prices this messed up, if someone needs a card right now then that is about as close to a deal as it comes. I did notice and took into account it being a $70 board, at least it is a good one.

The board is generally solid; it's done an A-OK job as the backbone of my Ryzen system so far. Shame about the out of the gate IRQ Storm problem in Linux, but even that's apparently been solved in the year since...

I didn't see anything about that, then again I've been out of the Linux game for some time. I've built a few rigs based on the board. For $70 you can sure get a lot less board than that. I was hoping to see the cypto crap drop even further and start to see the max exodus of gaming cards flood the market at sub $100 prices in the next few months. I just have an odd feeling that isn't going to happen for the majority of this year. Oh well, the summer is coming and I have a lot of work to do on my house, no time for gaming anyhow.

I dunno. My board bombed early but it wasn't a 3, just a AB350 Gaming.

I should have it up and running again before April hopefully. Damn nice machine when it was working.
Meow.
