It's not going to break any records, but for $180 that would make a pretty nice movie/game monitor for someone who wants a lot of screen for not a lot of scratch. It's $100 off and a promo code for an additional $20. That brings it from $300 to $180. People were saying they were happy with the monitor at around $300, so not sure what isn't to like at almost half of that.

Don't expect LFC or a large range on the Freesync, we are looking at 40-75hz. It has
100x100 VESA compatibility and supports 4 screen split, has a USB C as well.

I've been wanting one of these ever since the price came down near $300. But sadly this particular model uses a 6bit + FRC (pixel dithering) IPS panel and I want a true 8bit. Plus the chances of finding an RX580 4GB video card for $200 to take advantage of it's features in the near future seem pretty slim. I guess I'll keep watching for sales on both. And I'm not even certain they make a model with a true 8bit IPS panel.

P.S. The VESA mount is 75 x 75 mm instead of the standard 100 x 100 mm.

Oh, didn't see it used FRC :(. I suppose that would explain the much cheaper pricing. It still had to beat TN quality panels in color reproduction though. On the video card front, I'm running my Nixeus EDG 27 on a MSI 7850 2GB at the full 2560x1440 and it runs really well. Of course I'm out of the luck in the Freesync realm, but that is a smaller difference than just going to 144hz from a standard 60hz. The range on this monitor of 40-75 for Freesync without LFC sort of makes it a novelty to me anyhow. I think the 6bit + FRC is actually more of a deal breaker considering the size, format and price.

As far as VESA, most of the mounts I have found include either a bracket or the holes for both 75x75 and 100x100 if for monitors. I've got an Ergotron and an Amazon Basics that work like that, so it's not impossible to pick

Thanks for pointing out the dithering used, I overlooked that.

The rtings review says it's an 8bit panel, but newegg and LG confirm it's an 8bit by way of 6bit + FRC.

A couple of years ago (out of curiosity) I bought a 24 inch 1080p LG ips with 6bit + FRC on sale for $110 IIRC. The colors were good, but just not perfect. When my cousin's monitor died I passed it on to him.

The promo code expires on Thursday 08 March.
