Seems too good to be true. Am reading up on this now.
Just spent $250+ for a Samsung 1TB.

Amazon had this..."3 Year Warranty through the Point of Purchase"

This was interesting... exFAT. vs NTSF formatting and random access.

$145/TB does seem extremely low.

That's a very good price, and would make a great game storage drive for people like myself (up over 1.1TB now).

Of course, it's hard to justify spending $300 for better level load times unless everything else is up to snuff....

The per Terabyte cost is really good on this. More than I want to spend for a single drive, but still a very good value.
On second thought, let's not go to TechReport. It's infested by crypto bull****.

NTFS has always been slower than FAT because it's a journaling filesystem. That also means it's far more crash-resistant. Trade reliability for a little bit of performance. The difference in speed there is not so much the drive (after all, it's the same drive), but the difference in performance between different filesystem approaches.
