Pretty good deal here at Mwave.com...monarch is $359 and the egg is $330. Bad news is that the sale ends today :cry:

Well then, Lickety, looks like it's time for you to buy. Though you should've bought from Monarch when the OEM 170 was ~$365.

I know my 165 does 2 GHz withing a problem, but I've still not tried pushing it yet. Hopefully this weekend I'll get my OS install issue fixed and I'll be in a position to be able to try more impressive OCing feats.

I've dumped well over $1000 on this Opty machine now, and still haven't gotten a new case for it as originally intended. I'm not normally such a spendthrift, but I got stupid over this thing.

Those 2405's better be about $120 by the time I'm ready to buy one... :lol:

But he's here so often (check post count) that when a good deal comes along, he knows about it sooner than almost anyone. So really, he has no excuse for his lack of 170-ness. :wink:

I dont game much..and the few that i play(tiger 04) and a few others..so im sticking with AGP for a bit. Epox of course...almost went with Abit since the NF7s was such a treat but ive had great luck with the Epox boards. Havent had a lemon yet :wink:

If I was sticking with AGP, I'd buy a ULi chipset-based board. The ASRock I have is rock solid. But to each his own.

Somewhere (maybe TR's front page?) I read how Abit has lost 98% of their sales, so that's a shame, but I'm not interested in being a tester for them.

Yeah..that was due to massive financial trouble. Looks like they may go under..and that would surely be a shame.
