120-128GB SSD Price History

Wed Nov 02, 2011 8:16 am

The holiday season is here and deals are popping up all over for computer hardware. This is a breif summary of the lowest prices I've seen on a few SSD's including mail in rebates ($20-$30) and shipping. I had been watching prices on these SSD's since June of this year before I recently purchased my first SSD. With this, you can know if the deal is good or if you should hold off for a better one.

Crucial M4 128GB: $170, shell shocker on newegg on 8/31/2011 $160 on newegg on 2/15/2012

OCZ Vertex 3 120 GB: $160 after MIR on newegg on 12/15/2011 $150 after MIR on newegg on 1/10/2012

OCZ Vertex 3 120 GB Max IOPS: $190 with MIR on newegg and ncix on 10/19/2011

Corsair Force GT 120GB: $150 after MIR on newegg on 1/22?/2012 $135 after MIR on newegg on 2/15/2012

Corsair Force 3 120GB: $110 with MIR on newegg on 10/28/2011

Adata S511 120GB: $180 with MIR on newegg on 10/31/2011

OCZ Agility 3 120GB: $120 after MIR on newegg on 1/22/2012

Edit: I've also got a couple 90GB SSD's that I purchased recently for some other builds:
90GB Vertex 3: $105 after MIR on newegg on 12/12/2011

90GB Corsair Force 3: $90 after MIR, newegg shell shocker on 12/15/2011

when a 500GB ssd comes out for $50-100, i'll think about getting one. Until then, c'est la vie.

You'll be hard pressed to even get a 500GB hard drive for that now :P
